Astigmatism
Astigmatism – is a defect of vision manifested by a blurred vision of objects in both the near and far distance. Astigmatism is a common refractive problem arising from the aspherical cornea or lens. This causes a refractive problem called astigmatism where the light ray entering the eye is dispersed and is not well concentrated in the macula on the retina. As a result, the images appear to be blurred. Astigmatism is hereditary.
