Conjunctivitis

Conjunctivitis – is an inflammation of the eyes conjunctiva. The most common causes are: allergens and microorganisms including bacteria, viruses or chlamydia. The symptoms of conjunctivitis, depending on the causative agent, include itching, burning eyes, and the presence of pus in the conjunctival sac. Conjunctivitis may be associated with use of the contact lenses.
Although an inflammatory process may be a self-limiting process, in most cases medical consultation is required to avoid the serious consequences of inflammation.
