Treatment of AMD with intravitreal injections
In our practice, we diagnose and treat the wet form of Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD), otherwise known as the neovascular form of AMD. By administering an anti-VEGF agent into the eye globe, it is possible to significantly slow down, or in some cases stop, the progress of the disease (Eylea®, Lucentis®, Vabysmo®).
In the field of vitreoretinal surgery, we offer scheduled or urgent consultations, performing the necessary examinations and undertaking immediate surgical treatment measures.
CAUTION
The procedures are performed on an outpatient basis, under local anesthesia. The patient cannot drive right after the procedure and it is also recommended to come accompanied.
